From 1867 to 1985 St. Vincent's was home to over 11,000 children
Mercy Family Services employs a social worker to:

assist and support former residents to
access their personal information from St. Vincent's Home
records and the Department of Communities

provide counselling and support for former
residents who contact the organisation about their time at
St. Vincent's Home
-
support former residents in linking with
other appropriate services
-
maintain an updated list of the contact
details for former residents who have attended St. Vincent's
Home reunions
-
coordinate reunions and facilitates
networks for former residents who want more regular contact
and support. Reunions are held every two years with the next
to be in November 2008. Informal gatherings for former
residents are also held on a regular basis

network with other agencies involved in
similar work
