Collaborative project helps domestic violence victims seek support

24 Apr 2017

A news article published last week in Beaudesert Times online highlights our commitment to working collaboratively with community and government partners to support people in need.

The story focuses on a project to support people who are victims of domestic violence by providing them with a new kit bag that includes tissues, tea, coffee, and important information on support services. The bags were presented recently to Beaudesert police officers, who provide the bags to domestic violence victims in the days after an incident.

The project was a collaboration of local community organisations and government, including Human Services, Mercy Community Services Family and Child Connect, Your Town, Beaucare, YFS, Department of Communities Child Safety and Mununjali.

This is just one example of a collaborative project that supports our mission to support and inspire people in need to live healthy, connected lives within inclusive communities.
